WEFTshop will be holding a pop up shop to offer some of their goods for sale at the Metta Centre. WEFTshop is a non-profit social enterprise. Refugee and migrant artisans are the inspiration and heart of the WEFTshop family. Their vision is that creativity and collaboration have the power to heal and transform lives. Their work brings together refugee and migrant artisans from Burma, a team of volunteers in Sydney, and hundreds of enthusiastic supporters and customers in Australia, New Zealand, Thailand and Burma. Every purchase supports our artisans and their families, and contributes to Fair Trade enterprise and women’s empowerment. WEFTshop's vision is for hundreds of artisans to build livelihoods beyond essential needs, develop the skills to preserve their techniques, train others, and celebrate the art and beauty of textiles with people around the world.
