The insufficiency of intention

The insufficiency of intention Speaker: Ajahn Sādaro (In person, visiting from Melbourne) Wed 12 June | 7-8.30pm AEST Location: In person at Western Sydney University (74 Rickard Rd, Bankstown City Campus), Room 1.4.34 on level 4 or Online (Zoom link below) Cost: Free   Karma seems pretty simple to most people; do good things, good things come back, do bad things, they come back bad. But is this how Karma works? What about bad things happening to good people? And is it really the case that ‘everything relies on intentions’ in Buddhism? Ajahn Sadaro will talk about some different ways we can understand Karma in order to make sense of why sometimes intentions behind our actions is not enough. Optional Pre-event Special: Meditation Experience Study. From 6pm, Ajahn Sadaro invites you to take part in an experiment about meditation experience and interpersonal relationships. Only 30 minutes. Please bring a laptop. For more information and to sign up, click HERE About the speaker: Ajahn Sādaro ordained in the forest tradition in Thailand in 2006. After practicing throughout SE Asia, he returned to Australia in 2015 and now resides at Newbury Buddhist Monastery in Melbourne.
