Join us for a special day of practice with LuangTa Narongsak.
Please bring a plate to share. It's a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a meal together and connect with each other.
Luangta’s way of teaching is unique in that he uses Dhamma dialogues—questions and answers—to clear up misunderstandings about the true nature of reality. By doing this, he transforms mistaken views, which lead to attachment and suffering, into right understanding: seeing clearly that all phenomena are impermanent, unsatisfactory, and not-self, and therefore not something we can cling to.
His teachings focus on personalised guidance, recognising that each person has their own character and different foundations. That’s why it’s important for anyone coming to listen to open their heart and actively ask questions about their own doubts until there’s no uncertainty left. Only then can the true Dhamma fully enter the heart, bringing about the end of attachment, the dissolving of wrong views, and the clear seeing of things as they really are—leading to freedom from suffering here and now. This is the real benefit for oneself and others, making the most of the rare and precious chance of being born as a human being.
Schedule:
10.30-13.00 Dhamma Talk (Q&A session)
13:00 - 14:00 Lunch (Potluck)
14.00-16.00 Group Discussion with Luangta’s disciples
About the teacher: Luangta Narongsak Khīṇālayo is a Thai Buddhist monk from the forest tradition. While working as a judge, Luangta was trained under several meditation masters, all arahants of Ajahn Mun's Bhuridatta lineage. He has practised all forms of vipassana meditation ardently and continuously, from contemplation of death and marananussati (mindfulness of death) to contemplation of the mind, to find the Truth of impermanence, suffering and non-self. Luangta’s teaching is unique and tailor-made for each audience, taking into account their background and practice. He identifies where they are stuck in their meditation practice and enables them to progress, seeing the Truth of birthless and deathless nature, developing the primal mind that is free from suffering and realising that that there is no true self that one can hold on to.
