Being in nature can be deeply healing and an essential support for our spiritual practice. However, it’s important to learn how to be in nature safely, avoid injury and tend to any injury. Whether you are interested in undertaking a tudong walk, some extended time in nature or leading bushwalks, this training course is for you.
Trainers in Yarrawood Bushwalking Club have a wealth of knowledge of nature, leading bushwalks, and the Sydney walking trails. Terry Redmond from the club and also from Metta Centre will be leading this training course covering a range of topics.
The 7 month membership (worth $20) to the Yarrawood Bushwalking Club Sydney (https://www.yarrawood.org.au/) gives you unlimited access to club activities, use of safety beacons, access to wealth of experienced trainers, and connect with their friendly community of nature lovers.
The bushwalking essential kit (worth $25) includes sunscreen, insect repellent, snake-bite bandage, blister Band-Aid, gauze bandage, low-adhesion bandage pad, whistle, compass, blank CD (for signalling aircraft), and printed notes.
Terry has kindly offered to donate the training fee to the Metta Centre (worth: priceless!).
Please note that Eventbrite charges a fee and we would be most grateful if you choose to cover this small admin fee at registration.
