Buddhist Survival Guide: A session on surviving life’s ups and downs by Venerable Akāliko
Sometimes life is good but sometimes it seems full of problems. When met with happiness, sadness, gain and loss, how can we maintain our balance amid the extremes life throws at us? Join Venerable Akāliko for a guided meditation and discussion on worldly conditions (lokadhammas) which the Buddha taught to develop the wisdom we need to cope with life’s vicissitudes. About the Teacher Venerable Akāliko is a monk in the Theravadan forest tradition with over twenty year’s experience practicing mediation and studying Buddhism. Venerable Akāliko’s teachings bring the Buddha’s timeless wisdom to today’s problems, helping people find peace and happiness in their lives. He currently resides at Bodhinyana Monastery in Serpentine, Western Australia, and will be giving this talk at Metta Centre in his short visit to Sydney
