Join meditation teacher and artist Ofosu Jones-Quartey (Born I) for a unique virtual gathering that blends mindfulness practice and creative expression. The session will begin with a guided meditation, followed by reflections on the importance of self-compassion and how creativity itself can be an expression of Dharma. Ofosu will share insights from his new book Lyrical Dharma: Hip Hop as Mindfulness and perform songs from his latest album Komorebi. Together, these offerings invite participants into a space of presence, healing, and inspiration.
About the Teacher: Ofosu Jones-Quartey (Born I) is a meditation teacher, hip hop artist, and writer dedicated to making mindfulness accessible for all. A longtime practitioner in Buddhist traditions, Ofosu integrates the Dharma with creativity, showing how art and self-expression can be vehicles for compassion and liberation. He is the male voice on the Balance meditation app and teaches retreats across the country. His new book, Lyrical Dharma: Hip Hop as Mindfulness (Parallax Press), and his album Komorebi continue his mission of weaving music, meditation, and self-compassion into pathways of healing and awakening.
